The Butcher of Bareilly: How Kuldeep Kumar Gangwar Killed 9 Women in 14 Months

The women of Bareilly were disappearing. For over a year, fear gripped the villages. Between June 2023 and July 2024, nine women were found dead in sugarcane fields. Their bodies lay hidden among the tall stalks, their lives cruelly stolen by an unseen hand. The killer moved like a ghost, striking and vanishing without a trace. At first, the police thought these were isolated cases: a robbery gone wrong, a personal dispute, or an accident. But as the pattern emerged, a terrifying realization spread: a serial killer was on the loose. He had a signature strangulation, with the knots always tied to the left. He killed with precision, leaving behind no clues, no evidence. The people of Bareilly lived in fear, locking their doors before nightfall, whispering about the murderer who walked among them. Then, in July 2024, the police caught a man: Kuldeep Kumar Gangwar. When questioned, he simply smiled and confessed, "I killed six." But if he admitted to six, who killed the other thr...

Top 6 Mysterious Disappearances in Asia

Mysterious disappearances floors me when I think of a fathom that how can someone could just vanish someday or, alternatively, how a criminal could so deftly remove someone from the outside world (or maybe in this world, in many cases). History never failed to surprise me but what left me scratching my head was that how these missing personalities were ''missed'' obv, but also never found, and if never found then where did they go?

Jim Thompson vanished in the high jungles of Malaysia in 1967, The 61-year-old millionaire was the most famous American in the Thai history.

He was never seen again.

The biggest search on the land in South-east Asia was done with hundreds of people searching for full time for 11 days. Imagine you are taking a day off to meet your friends or family and your flight took off but never landed. This aviation blunder has been one of the most cofounding aviation mystery ever, since 2014.

In 2014, a plane carrying 239 people just disappeared by flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. This disappearance led to an iconic search of the Flight ,H370 carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew members, searching from the Indian Ocean west of Australia to Central Asia leading it to become one of the history's most famous missing aircraft.

Many theories around the lost flight have been stated till date like Hijacking, technical failure, and even extraterrestrial interventions but no specific statement on the basis of any evidence could be stated till date.

While the official search for the plane ended in 2017, a new search proposal has been waiting from approval from Malaysian Cabinet in order to extend the search in new ways and applying Sonar technology.

3. Roopkund Skeleton Lake: The Lake of Death

If I was your traveler guide, I would never suggest you going there when the snow melts. Why? Because this is Uttarakhand's most horrifying destination: Roopkund lake, the reason why I am calling this ''The Lake of Death'' is that this lake in Himalayan mountains reveals human skeletons when the ice melts.

Well, I won't bother visiting there but people with a small heart should avoid it, as the remains include people different times in history adding to more intrigue in the mystery.

Some theories states that the remains belong to people who died as far back as 9th century. Another reveals that a freak hailstorm is the cause of these deaths. Rest is history.Or maybe something more in future...!

Asha Degree, a 17-year-old from South Korea vanished in 2011 while traveling to a study group. Despite being in one of the most surveillance-heavy cities filled with CCTV cameras, her case left no traces to be found.

The thing which was extremely surprising was that in such a safe and sound city with CCTV cameras all around, there was no footage of her beyond her bus journey ever found.

While this disappearance occurred in the United States rather than Asia, the mystery surrounding her case resonates globally due to its haunting details.

5. Bhangarh’s Vanished Villagers

Often called India's most haunted place, Bhangarh fort in the country once had a thriving community but all the residents of the village disappeared overnight leaving their homes empty and the village silent.

Built in 17th century by Madho Singh, son of Man Singh who was one of the emperor in Akbar's court members, Bhangarh fort has the legends that it was due to a famine while others say that it was something paranormal.

Well, if you do want to visit this place, I must tell you that trespassing before sunrise and after sunset is prohibited in Bhangarh fort. So if you are planning a visit over there, please consider sparing time in day only, and come before the sunset.

6. Flight 19

A name synonymous with danger, intrigue, and unsolved mysteries, this is a place where around 30 ships and 20 planes have said to be mysteriously disappeared: The Bermuda Triangle.
The Bermuda Triangle would be very less to be compared by a mere word like,''Mysterious''. One of the most haunting tales is the disappearance of Flight 19, a squadron of five Navy bombers that vanished into thin air on December 5, 1945.
Before the radio connection was lost, the pilot reported disorientation and compass malfunctions, after that there was no trace of the flight 19.
The crew's last radio transmissions indicated confusion about their location, with Taylor famously stating, "We are entering white water. Nothing seems right. We can't be sure of any direction. Even the ocean doesn't look as it should."
What was more shocking was that a Martin PBM Mariner flying boat was dispatched with 13 crew members to locate the missing planes. Shockingly, this rescue aircraft also disappeared without a trace.

Is Squid Game Based on a Real Story?

Red Light, Green Light...Red Light, Green Light....! Sounded fun when we all were kids, right? This was one of my favourite games when I was 6. But after seeing people play it on the Netflix show, Squid Game, it turned into a nightmare for me. When Squid Game premiered on Netflix in 2021, it was much more than any other series. It was a cultural touchstone that drew millions of viewers. It offered a deep and thought-provoking look at some of society's biggest issues. It did not only entertain but also forced the world to consider the issues of economic inequality, human desperation, and moral decay. An easy premise but haunting: 456 gamblers, all drowning in debt, find themselves pulled into a game of survival through childhood games where losing proves lethal.  Squid Game grabs attention with shocking visuals and an intense plot, but it stands out for its deeper messages. It highlights society's struggles, the burden of history, and human resilience. These themes set it apart ...
