1-Pripyat, Ukraine: The City Frozen in 1986

Pripyat was a nuclear city founded in 70s. This thriving soviet town was once occupied by more than 49,000 people before the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. 2-Aokigahara Forest, Japan: The Sea of Trees


Commonly known as Gunkanjima, once a booming coal mining town in 1887, Hashima is located 9 miles away from Nagasaki. Hashima was abandoned in 1974 when the undersea coal mines were starting to deplete. The island’s stark, decaying apartment blocks and industrial structures earned it the nickname “Battleship Island.”

The Bhangarh fort, known as the ''House of Ghosts'', is a 16th century fort built in the Rajasthan state of India. Established by Raja Madho Singh, the younger brother of Raja Man Singh of Amber, this archaeological site comes with a government warning against entering after sunset.

Legends say that spirits enter the place after sunset, as a disgruntled sorcerer cursed the area after being rejected by a princess and left the fort to its ghostly residents.

5- Poveglia Island, Italy


In 1348, Poveglia island, located between Venice and Lido, used to serve as a quarantine zone for Bubonic plague victims and later an asylum where insane experiments were rumored.
