Commonly known as Gunkanjima, once a booming coal mining town in 1887, Hashima is located 9 miles away from Nagasaki. Hashima was abandoned in 1974 when the undersea coal mines were starting to deplete. The Bhangarh fort, known as the ''House of Ghosts'', is a 16th century fort built in the Rajasthan state of India. Established by Raja Madho Singh, the younger brother of Raja Man Singh of Amber, this archaeological site comes with a government warning against entering after sunset.
Legends say that spirits enter the place after sunset, as a disgruntled sorcerer cursed the area after being rejected by a princess and left the fort to its ghostly residents.
